PENOBSCOT BAY ISLANDS · A TEAM, BUILT RIGHT.Penobscot Bay Island Wedding Planner
Islesboro, North Haven, Vinalhaven and the islands beyond, along with the harbor towns of Camden, Rockport and Rockland, are some of the most beautiful places in Maine to get married. They’re also some of the hardest to plan. Every guest, every table and every flower has to get across the water, and the boat doesn’t wait. I build your vendor team around your vision and your budget, plan every crossing, and place a dedicated coordinator with you on the day.
I’ve spent 30 years traveling to and from Matinicus Island with my family, by ferry and by small plane. Island logistics aren’t new to me.
01 · GETTING EVERYONE THEREFerries, boats and planes
The Maine State Ferry runs from Lincolnville to Islesboro and from Rockland to North Haven, Vinalhaven and, on a limited schedule, Matinicus. Penobscot Island Air flies to the islands from Owls Head and runs a charter boat, the Robin R. Private boats and water taxis round out the options. I plan every crossing around the schedules and choose what works best for your guests.
Every crossing, planned.

02 · GETTING EVERYTHING THERETents, rentals and the details
Island weddings often mean private homes and open fields, so the tent, the tables, the power and even the restrooms come over on the boat. I build that plan with vendors who know how to work on an island.
Nothing left on the dock.
Freight, ferry reservations and delivery timing
Tent, power and restroom plans for private property
Island and mainland vendors working as one team
Weather backup plans that actually work
For couples who want the island without the worry.
Your budget, kept.
Without a plan
Most couples start planning with a number in mind, but no real way to track it. They find a vendor online and book them, then find the next one and book them too. By the time everyone is booked, the forgotten pieces show up: rentals, transportation, all the small things. A $75,000 wedding ends up closer to $100,000, and a $350,000 wedding turns into a half-million-dollar wedding. These weddings are often understaffed, too, so vendors end up doing work that isn’t theirs and family members spend the day working instead of celebrating.
With me
When you start with me, we set your budget before a single vendor is booked, and every choice is built to fit it. Whether your number is $75,000 or $350,000, that’s the number your wedding is planned to. If you ever go above it, it’s because you chose to, never because something was forgotten. Your wedding also has the right number of people working it, so every vendor can focus on their own job and you and your family can simply enjoy the day.
Begin the Planning Conversation
Couples typically begin with a consultation where we discuss the scope of their celebration and the level of planning support they may need.
